A confidential consulting firm requires a motivated applicant to fill the role of a Senior Research Analyst:
Job Summary:
- Responsible for providing support to the company’s business through provision of expert analysis of projects and investments for both the Company and its clients. Preparation and publication of periodic research reports on business, economic, political and other socio-economic issues for consumption of the Company’s human resources as well as select clients. Review industry specific development and trends to identify opportunities for the company. Providing key research and analytical support to Advisory Services Department and other business segments in execution of mandates, including the preparation of pitches, proposals and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Providing research support for project analysis and evaluation.
- Carrying out advanced research on general economic dynamics and identification of investment opportunities.
- Acting as an advisory to Company and clients by reviewing and recommending investments based on risk and return analysis.
- Collecting and analyzing information.
- Preparing reports and recommendations for investment purposes.
- Creating financial models using electronic spreadsheet
- Validation and testing of models
- Comprehensive analytical review and forecast of financial statements.
- Preparing and publishing periodic research reports for Company and clients consumption
- Developing financial skills of personnel in financial advisory services to include- business ideas validation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Finance or related fields
- ICAN/ ACCA/ CFA (certified/ongoing) will be of added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years in investment banking, with 3 years in research
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Knowledge of complex financial modeling
- Understanding of theoretical applications and principles
- Knowledge of political and socio-economic trend analysis
- Keen mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
- Acute eye for details and ability to plot trends

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
